I was born in a small town in rural Brazil. At a young age I move to the coastal city of Vitoria Brazil. I was surrounded by natural beauty and always had the desire to express it. At the age of 17 years old I moved to the United States on my own. I began formally painting and blowing glass at the age of 22. While visiting northern Michigan and being exposed to many other artists in the community I began making miniature paintings of the local landscapes and painting rocks.
I now live in Richmond Virginia and I have been compiling a large portfolio of paintings which I am excited to show the world.
I have been experimenting with many different types of mediums. Linen canvas, hemp canvas, wood panel miniature ,acrylic , oil, homemade colors, home stretched canvas, group art, gold foil, blow torch, swinging buckets, Sosolvents, thinners, hot glass and just getting started.
It is hard for me to find inspiration in just a few things. I enjoy studying all forms of art and experimenting with mixing them together. One of my inspiration is a French impressionist by the name of Pierre Bittar who intern has inspired many other artists in the northern Michigan community such as my dear friend Trisha Witty. It is hard for me to find inspiration in just a few things. I enjoy studying all forms of art and experimenting with mixing them together. One of my inspiration is a French impressionist by the name of Pierre Bittar who intern has inspired many other artists in the northern Michigan community such as my dear friend Trisha Witty. Both artists paint with a palette knife and I have been blessed to know and call them both my friends.
I also take inspiration from my childhood in Brazil and the wonders of nature South America. Having lived half my life in the southern atmosphere and the other half in the northern hemisphere I feel I have a full view of the world that is unique to those artists who have had this experience. I have traveled to Europe and Greece, Italy, Malta,, France, Amsterdam, Denmark, Estonia, Turkey, Monte Carlo, Russia, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and many more beautiful places. Everywhere i go I am influenced by the art and culture of each people.
